Dubravka Ledenčan-Kuštro
Dubravka Ledenčan-Kuštro
I was born on Valentines day  45 years ago and have been in love ever since. First I fell in love with picture books, little bugs and grass and then I was introduced to letters and have fallen permanently in love. So it's no wonder that I have spent the past 19 years teaching children in Ivan Filipović elementary school the secrets of good „letter arranging“ in one of the prettiest languages in the world – Croatian. My heart flutters when I read a good story or a poem and I even get delighted by marketing slogans or warnings in health institutions. On the „health“ note – I have pretty good teeth, maybe because I was never threatened with going to the dentist, and because brushing my teeth twice a day is one of my oldest hobbies together with sleeping in, reading books of course and drinking coffee with my friends.
Dubravka will facilitate the „Zubo and Krubo comic book“ workshop.

Parkour
We have been actively practicing Parkour for the past 6 years. In general, Parkour is a skill of getting from point “A” to point “B” effectively and quickly by using your own physical abilities to move through any environment and over any obstacle.  What we enjoy is the movement or to be more specific the art of achieving fluency through connecting different parkour moves. It is always interesting to discover and overcome your own boundaries – whether they are physical or psychological. Through our training we develop our bodies and minds and discover new ways to overcome different obstacles. By training on a regular basis we achieve constant progress and minimalize possible injuries so they become pretty rare. In parkour, there is no competition therefor everybody works for themselves and in line with their own possibilities and without any pressure.
Person under the age of 14, due to the physical development, should not practice parkour, but once you’re older than that nothing matters anymore – not your age, gender or species.  Where there is a will, there is a way to do parkour.
The goal of this workshop is to introduce parkour to more people, to teach them how to effectively move through their environment and how to better control their own bodies. All of this will be made even more interesting through fun and useful exercises, basic jumps and parkour moves.
