Antonija Tomasović

Antonija Tomasović

The chief program editor at Slavonia and Baranja TV.
My name is Antonija and I was born a long time ago – in the 1970s. I have no brothers or sisters so I was a spoiled kid who had a wonderful childhood that was mostly spent with three best friends who were always ready for mischief. I was never really interested in dolls, but I was interested in writing – ever since I learned all of my letters. So my main toys were, counting also the basket- and soccer ball – things you have to know how to use if you have boys for best friends, were paper and pencil. I could sit for hours and write, write and write some more. So even when I became a big girl I couldn't give up writing together constant chatting consisting mostly of endless questions. I was interested in everything...so when you combine the love for writing and the great inborn curiosity you get the wish to be a journalist. Given all of those factors I decided to try out that line of work and started working in Večernji list newspaper. I worked there for 10 years but grew tired of it since I couldn't talk as much as I wanted to so I decided to switch over to television. I have been working on Slavonia and Baranja television channel for the past 7 years, I have two shows of my own and I am the chief editor of the program. It is a hard and demanding work but it makes me unbelievably happy.
You, my dear fairy-reporters, I will teach you how to become real journalists or even TV stars....just don't forget that the key to success is to have the magical ingredients – love of writing and a great curiosity.
