Workshops will take place twice a day every day from 9 till 11am and from 6:30 till 8pm.

  26. INDIAN FUSION /Dance workshop

    In this workshop we shall take a look from contemporary perspective on chosen movements and gestures that we can find in dances from India. Enormous classical and folk tradition shall be an inspiration to learn how to get freely inspired and find our way of expressing ourselves through dance.
    With the music of  contemporary Indian authors, we shall learn some movements and the way to connect them within dance “phrases”.

    PROGRAM OF THE WORKHSOP

    -    warm up based on Yoga
    -    conscience of the body in the space
    -    learning the movements and explanation of their origin (Yoga, classical or folk dance or martial art)
    -    connecting the movements into small choreography
    -    short introduction of  history of dance on Indian subcontinent
